Carnival Cruise Line brought some Christmas in July magic to the Queensland Children’s Hospital on July 14, with The Grinch and Cat in the Hat making a surprise visit to delight young patients and their families.

The beloved Dr Seuss characters, joined by the Carnival Encounter Fun Squad and Cruise Director Franco Spies, spent time with children at the Children’s Hospital Foundation Fun Day, with craft stations, a puppy play area and sweet treats transforming the day into a celebration of fun and laughter.

During the event, Carnival presented the Queensland Children’s Hospital Foundation with a $135,000 donation raised by guests aboard Carnival ships, to support programs and services for sick children and their families.

Carnival Cruise Line has been a proud supporter of the Children’s Hospital Foundation in Queensland since 2019, hosting recurring fundraising events known as Conga for Kids aboard Carnival Luminosa since 2022 and on Carnival Encounter since the ship joined the fleet in March 2025.
