Carnival is taking fun seriously by launching a new creative campaign called Play Away on Carnival, which encourages Australians to unplug, unwind and find their fun.
The ads, which will roll out across TV, radio, billboards and online this week, demonstrate how a Carnival cruise is an escape from the ‘same-same’ holiday.
“Too often, our holidays follow the same routine and we return from annual leave feeling like we’ve barely escaped,” said Nicole Bradbury, Carnival’s Senior Marketing Manager.
“What we really want is something truly unique and fun, which is what Carnival Cruise Line is all about.”
The ads will showcase why Carnival is a favourite for families, couples and friends who are seeking fun and great value holidays at sea – whether it be for a few days or a longer break.
From capturing radio audiences stuck in peak hour traffic on the drive home to viewers bored on the couch watching TV, the targeted campaign is about enticing Australians to find their fun on a cruise.
This Australian campaign complements Carnival’s new global brand platform “Carnival is Calling”, which positions the line as the essential escape from modern life stresses, encouraging people to reconnect on a cruise.
Play Away on Carnival shares creative DNA with the U.S. campaign Find Your Fun Again, which was headlined by Parks and Recreation star Nick Offerman.
In Australia, the ads will be voiced by Aussie actor Angus Sampson, well known for his roles in Bump and the Lincoln Lawyer.
