Munich, London, Chicago, Paris and Madrid.

All of these major cities have hosted Disney: The Exhibition – A Century of Magic, a global blockbuster experience that has captivated audiences across the globe.

Now it’s heading Down Under and will make its Australian premiere at the Mackay Entertainment & Convention Centre (MECC) in Queensland on December 4.

The exhibition provides a behind-the scenes look at some beloved stories as well as one-of-a-kind artifacts and costumes from the Walt Disney Archives.

This landmark event positions Mackay as a national destination for major cultural tourism, delivering an opportunity for locals, Queenslanders and interstate visitors to experience a world-renowned exhibition without travelling overseas.

“It’s not every day that regional Queensland brings Disney magic Down Under and we could not be prouder to share this with our community,” said Greg Williamson, Mackay Mayor.

“The exhibition will draw visitors from across Australia and beyond, allowing for a tremendous boost for local tourism, hospitality and business in the region.”

The Walt Disney Archives, in collaboration with Semmel Exhibitions, have created an immersive experience celebrating 100 years of Disney storytelling and innovation.

The exhibition will feature props, costumes and works of art from throughout The Walt Disney Company, as well as interactive galleries and curated displays that transport visitors into the heart of Disney’s legacy.

It’s an opportunity for families and fans to experience Disney in a uniquely Australian setting.

Disney: The Exhibition – A Century of Magic was created by the Walt Disney Archives to showcase the stories, artistry and innovation behind The Walt Disney Company, inviting guests to explore that legacy through eight immersive galleries inspired by Walt Disney’s creative philosophies,” said Matthew Adams, Manager of Exhibitions, Walt Disney Archives.

Disney: The Exhibition – A Century of Magic will take place from December 4 until May 4, 2027, with early-bird tickets available now.
