Singapore Airlines is enhancing its in-flight entertainment with next-generation KrisWorld and high-speed Starlink connectivity, giving customers more choice, control and flexibility throughout their journeys.

The new system will feature 4K high resolution touchscreens, spatial audio, Bluetooth pairing and a redesigned interface, alongside more than 2,500 movies, television programs, music and podcasts refreshed each month.

Selected aircraft and cabin classes will also feature OLED displays and active noise cancellation headphones.

A new wellness planner will offer sleep and meditation tracks, breathing exercises and in seat stretches, while passengers will be able to log in with their KrisFlyer account to receive recommendations, save favourite content and resume programs across future flights.

Yeoh Phee Teik, Singapore Airlines Senior Vice President Customer Experience, said customer feedback had played an important role in shaping the upgrades.

“Our customers told us that they wanted more choice and flexibility in how they spend their time on board, as well as entertainment and connectivity that fit more naturally into their journey,” Mr Yeoh said.

The next generation KrisWorld will be introduced on 41 retrofitted Airbus A350-900 long haul and A350-900ULR aircraft entering service progressively from 2027, as well as on the airline’s upcoming Boeing 777-9 fleet.

Starlink will begin rolling out from early 2027 across Airbus A380, A350-900 long haul and A350-900ULR aircraft.

Eligible passengers will continue to receive unlimited complimentary Wi-Fi, with the faster connection supporting streaming, social media, gaming and work from personal devices.

The upgrades form part of a broader new travel experience that also includes next generation long haul cabins, refreshed dining, new amenities across all cabin classes and enhanced ground services, with further details set to be unveiled in Singapore in November.
