Marriott International has signed an agreement to bring JW Marriott to Fiji, with JW Marriott Fiji Resort & Spa expected to open on Denarau Island in the first quarter of 2027.

The 282-key property will be created through the conversion of the existing Westin Fiji Golf Resort & Spa, with reservations expected to open in December.

It will mark the JW Marriott brand’s first resort in the Pacific Islands.

Plans include guestrooms and suites, two-bedroom villas with private pools, a large family pool, an adults-only pool, a kids club and teen zone.

The resort will also feature several dining and bar concepts, including an all-day restaurant, JW Market, a Japanese-influenced venue and a lounge focused on wine and cocktails.

Rajeev Menon, Marriott International President Asia Pacific Excluding China, said the new resort would combine JW Marriott’s focus on wellbeing and mindful experiences with Denarau Island’s natural setting and Fijian culture.

The property is also planned to include a 309-square-metre ballroom, a 490-square-metre pre-function foyer and five meeting rooms, with the ballroom able to host up to 180 guests for banquets.
