Travel Associates has launched a new head-office-based business to cater specifically to the new luxury traveller.
At the helm is luxury travel veteran Ben Monaghan, who will have his ‘name on the door’ trading as Monaghan & Turner Travel Associates.
Rachel Kingswell, Travel Associates general manager Australia and New Zealand, said it’s a business model that has been “built for growth.”
“Bricks and mortar will always be at the core of the Travel Associates business model, but we acknowledge that we have a changing market to cater for in both the new luxury traveller and the new luxury advisor,” she added.
“The next generation luxury client is more digitally literate and like the option to reach their advisor through modern channels like social media and direct message.
“They’re also more likely to be working during the week, so this team will be more available after hours.
“In the same way, there’s a growing number of advisors that value flexibility and this new team led by Ben will allow them to work at flexible schedules aligned to client demand, from wherever they please, which we believe will really enhance both the advisor and client experience.”
Ben brings with him an exceptional career spanning almost 20 years within Flight Centre Travel Group.
He began his journey in 2006 with Student Flights before moving to Escape Travel, where he progressed quickly into a Team Leader role.
During this time, Ben led teams to be recognised as the #1 Most Improved and Most Profitable, and he was also named #1 Escape Travel Consultant nationally in 2008/09.
“After building a strong and loyal client base over the past 20 years, joining Travel Associates feels like the perfect alignment in the next progression of my career,” he said.
“This move allows me to further elevate the level of care and sophistication my clients receive, while also being part of something exciting as I lead and grow this new business model under the Travel Associates brand.”
