Sri Lanka Tourism Alliance has launched a new campaign targeting Australian travellers, coinciding with a major boost in air connectivity between the two countries.
The “Love Sri Lanka, Always” campaign is designed to position Sri Lanka as a year-round destination, moving beyond traditional peak travel windows by highlighting time-specific cultural, wildlife and natural experiences available across every season.
“Through this tactical campaign, we are inviting travellers to see the island in a new light, to experience its culture, nature, and festivals during times that fall outside the traditional season,” said Malik Fernando, Sri Lanka Tourism Alliance.
SriLankan Airlines will increase its weekly service between Colombo and Melbourne to 10 flights per week from August, reflecting rising demand from the Australian market and strengthening Colombo’s role as a hub for onward connections across south Asia.
For Australian travellers, Sri Lanka offers a compelling mix of wildlife encounters, surf coastlines, tea country landscapes and vibrant cultural festivals within a compact island destination.
Campaign highlights include the Minneriya National Park elephant gathering, the Vesak lantern displays and the Kandy Esala Perahera festival, experiences that are unique to specific times of year.
The campaign also addresses concerns following recent flooding and adverse weather, confirming that tourism operations are fully resumed and communities are once again welcoming guests.
