Travel options have never been more diverse. Neither are travellers needs.

One traveller might want a premium European tour with exceptional hotels and dining. Another might be looking for an affordable, flexible way to see the same destination. Another might prefer a small group camaraderie, a river cruise or a rail journey.

For travel agents, meeting these different needs have traditionally meant navigating different brands, products and propositions.

Trafalgar is changing that.

In 2027, Trafalgar will enter a new era, unifying the portfolios of Trafalgar, Insight Vacations and Costsaver under one brand, creating a single portfolio designed to give travel agents more choice, without more complexity.

The result? One brand, five Travel Categories and three clearly defined Value Tiers, giving agents more choice without adding more complexity.

One Trafalgar. Five ways to travel.

Building on nearly 80 years of guided travel expertise, the expanded Trafalgar will offer more than 600 itineraries across 75 countries and five ways to travel: Tours, Small Groups, River Cruises, Rail Journeys and Group Sales.

The move follows Trafalgar’s expansion into river cruising and small group travel and represents a larger evolution of the brand from a leader in guided tours to a single travel brand capable of serving more travellers across different travel styles, life stages and budgets.

For agents, the idea is simple: start with the traveller’s needs.

A client looking for exceptional hotels, dining and experiences? There’s a Trafalgar premium experience. A traveller looking for great value and flexibility? Trafalgar saver. Someone wanting the classic guided experience they already know and trust? Trafalgar classic.

And for travellers looking for a different way to explore, the expanded portfolio will also offer small group, river cruise and rail experiences.

Three Value Tiers. One trusted name.

At the heart of the new Trafalgar portfolio will be three Value Tiers: Saver, Classic and Premium. The Value Tiers are designed to make it easier for agents to identify and explain the right experience level and price point for each client.

SAVER- More flexibility, lower price point.
Trips run by Costsaver
For travellers who want the essentials taken care of with the flexibility to choose the extras that matter to them.

CLASSIC- The signature touring experience.
Trips run by Trafalgar
The signature balanced of must-see highlights, local experiences, expert guidance and time to explore.

PREMIUM- The most elevated experience.
Trips run by Insight Vacations
For travellers who value elevated comfort, carefully selected stays and more included experiences throughout the journey.

The goal is to make that choice easier to navigate.

“Growth has given us more ways than ever to serve travellers, but more choice shouldn’t mean more complexity for the agents who sell us,” said Andrew Young, SVP, TTC Tour Brands Oceania.

“Bringing these experiences together under Trafalgar allows us to preserve what agents and their clients value while removing layers that no longer make it easy to do business with us. We want an agent to be able to come to Trafalgar with a client and find the right way for them to travel, whether that means a premium tour, a small group, a river cruise or a completely different experience as their needs evolve.”

So, what does this mean for travel agents?

At its heart, this evolution is about making more choice easier to navigate.

By bringing the 2027 portfolios of Trafalgar, Insight Vacations and Costsaver together under the Trafalgar name, agents will have one broader, simpler portfolio through which to find the right experience for each client. Five Travel Categories and three clearly defined Value Tiers – saver, classic and premium – will make it easier to match different travel styles, experience levels and price points to the right traveller.

Importantly, the experiences agents and their clients already know are being retained. The premium offering will continue to deliver the elevated hotels, dining and experiences associated with Insight Vacations; saver will retain the flexibility and value of Costsaver; and classic will represent the Trafalgar experience agents know today.

For 2027 departures, existing itineraries, experiences and pricing remain unchanged. What is changing is how these experiences are brought together and presented under the expanded Trafalgar brand.
