A new all business class ATR 72-600 has arrived in French Polynesia ahead of the launch of a premium inter-island service linking Tahiti with Bora Bora and Raiatea-Taha’a.
The aircraft, named ĀNAPANAPA, will operate under Air Tahiti Signature and completed a six-day ferry flight from Toulouse-Francazal to Tahiti via Cairo, Muscat, Hyderabad, Subang, Lombok, Cairns and Nadi.
A soft launch will run from November 10 to December 7 for travel agencies and tour operators, giving tourism professionals an opportunity to experience the product before commercial services begin on December 8.
The ATR cabin has been configured entirely in a 1-1 layout, giving every passenger direct aisle access and three windows.
Seats offer a pitch of 100 centimetres, or approximately 39 inches, with the design focused on additional space and privacy.
Passengers travelling from Tahiti and Bora Bora will also receive priority airport services and lounge access, followed by a dedicated transfer to the aircraft.
Onboard service will include refreshments and local and international entertainment accessible through passengers’ own mobile devices.
The premium experience will extend through arrival, with additional attention given to passenger assistance and baggage delivery.
The new service initially operates to Bora Bora and Raiatea-Taha’a, adding a dedicated premium option to Air Tahiti’s inter-island network.
