Luxury cruise line Cunard is bringing its signature glamour back to Broadway as the official cruise partner of the 79th Annual Tony Awards, unveiling an exclusive Cunard Green Room inspired by the elegance of life at sea.
The immersive backstage retreat has been designed in partnership with Broadway actress and creative designer Krysta Rodriguez and will welcome nominees, performers and presenters during theatre’s biggest night at Radio City Music Hall on June 7.
Inspired by Cunard’s iconic fleet, including Queen Mary 2, the Green Room blends theatrical flair with the cruise line’s classic design heritage through sculptural lounges, polished brass accents, rich wood finishes and ocean-inspired details.
Cunard Senior Vice President Commercial North America Liz Fettes said the partnership reflects the brand’s long-standing connection to the arts and cultural experiences.
“We are thrilled to be the official cruise partner of the 79th Annual Tony Awards for the second year, deepening a partnership that celebrates excellence in live theater and the arts,” Fettes said.
“Cunard’s onboard experience has long been defined by its world-class enriching cultural programming, from Broadway and West End performers to intimate conversations with leading artists.”
Rodriguez said the space was designed to feel cinematic yet intimate, offering stars a place to relax away from the spotlight.
“Designing this space was about honoring both the energy of Broadway and the elegance of Cunard,” she said.
The partnership follows Cunard’s recent role as headline partner of the Olivier Awards in the UK, further strengthening the cruise line’s ties to the performing arts.
Founded in 1840, Cunard continues to integrate entertainment and enrichment into its voyages through theatrical productions, guest speakers and cultural event sailings across its fleet, including Queen Elizabeth, Queen Victoria and Queen Anne.
The 79th Annual Tony Awards will be hosted by P!NK and broadcast live on June 7 from New York City.
