Judith Crompton has been named as the new Chairperson of the House of Travel Australia board.

The appointment has been described as a reflection of the brand’s continued commitment to strengthening its presence and strategic direction within the Australian travel market.

Ms Crompton was originally appointed as a non-executive member of the House of Travel Australia board in late 2024.

“We are confident that Judith’s new leadership position will play a major role in shaping TravelManagers’ and Hoot Holidays’ next phase of growth and ensuring that we remain strongly positioned for the future,” said Joe Araullo, TravelManagers CEO.

Ms Crompton said she was proud to become the first woman to hold the Chairperson role, which she described as marking “an important milestone that signals a positive future for the leadership of our organisation.”

“We are extremely well equipped to build on the company’s solid foundations to pursue the exciting opportunities that lie ahead,” she added.

Crompton replaces New Zealand-based David Coombes, who remains Director of House of Travel Australia Pty Ltd.

“Having an Australia-based Chair enables us to better understand local opportunities, respond to industry shifts and ensures that our decision-making remains closely aligned with the needs of our personal travel manager (PTM) network, partners and customers,” added Mr Araullo.
