Australian travellers will have two shorter options to join MSC Cruises’ 2029 World Cruise, including a 47-night Sydney to Genoa voyage and a 36-night sailing from Valparaíso to Sydney.
The full 119-night journey aboard MSC Magnifica will visit 45 destinations across 21 countries and include a circumnavigation of Australia with eight calls around the country.
The Sydney departure leaves on March 18, 2029, and arrives in Genoa on May 4.
New Australian calls include Kangaroo Island, Broome and Darwin, while Fremantle will feature an overnight stay for the first time.
Across the Tasman, Timaru joins the itinerary as a new New Zealand port, alongside scenic cruising through Milford Sound.
Further afield, the voyage will call at destinations including Fiji, Indonesia, Singapore and South America, with overnight stays among nine extended port visits across the full itinerary.

The recently refurbished MSC Magnifica will also feature the MSC Yacht Club, providing dedicated suites, a private restaurant and lounge, sundeck and 24-hour butler and concierge services.
Guests booking the complete World Cruise receive 15 shore excursions, a Dine & Drink beverage package during lunch and dinner and a 30% discount on laundry services.
Classic level MSC Voyagers Club members and above receive a 5% booking discount, with triple loyalty points available on eligible bookings made by November 19.
Bookings for the 2029 program are now open, with the full World Cruise also available from Civitavecchia, Genoa, Marseille and Barcelona in January 2029.
